Firstly, we would like to send all our best wishes and warmest greetings to you. It is a great pleasure to introduce you that Good Walk Orthotics Association (GWOA) is a grassroot level Non-Government, Non-Profit, Non-Political organization have been working in Kurnool District of Andhra Pradesh State of India for the last 11 years. The organization has requisite legal status & credibility at people and Government Level. The organization is registered under Societies Registration Act, 2001 and 12A under Income Tax Act 1961. The organization is working among and for the empowerment of the marginalized groups and communities such as children, women and the people with disabilities. GWOA tries to help all categories of disabled.
We write to your esteemed self to seek help for the construction of Home for the Disabled to provide limbs, skills training, physiotherapy, counseling and other faculties for the disabled of the Kurnool and the surrounding areas. There are thousands of disabled who are forced to live a life of deprivation. They are deprived of the joys of the childhood and adolescence and highly visible in rural areas than urban areas.
GWOA has been providing artificial limbs, orthotic appliances, and Prosthetic, Orthotic, Orthopaedic and rehabilitation appliances/assistive devices to the handicapped people with free of cost. And GOWA has shouldered the responsibilities to provide for the rehabilitation and other facilities for the disabled. Once we start the construction local people will come forward to donate material support such as sand, cement, iron and bricks etc. Without starting of the construction, here it is very difficult to raise funds, try to understand our local situation. We will furnish the progress report to you.
As a last ray of hope, we writing this email to appeal to you and to trust us as the proposed construction will support disabled children and adults a new lease of life through providing aids and appliances. Without your support we are not able to provide help to these people. We acknowledge with gratitude for your continuous support in our Gods work.
